Farnie how things are these days. The last few years, I can’t remember the last time people in service, trading or construction company ever complained or whined about not having contracts, jobs or servicing the industry. Back then, it seems that almost everyone and everything is thriving like it can’t get any better than it was.
Nowadays, however, everywhere I go or everyone I met, is begging for work. From Class A all the way to Class F contractors. From basic service job all the way to comprehensive maintenance job. Literally, everyone is looking for opportunity.
Why is this happening? What is going on? How come we are going through this painful time? Especially when the Government is saying that we are growing at 5.6%. Is it really true we are growing? Because most of us, I’m included, are not feeling it. I know that some are thriving but are not based on merit but rather out of favors and cronies.
While most people, I really mean MOST PEOPLE, are getting out of jobs, laid off, begging for work, a handful of folks are changing their cars almost like babies change their diapers. The middle class is shrinking as well. Hmm, typical case of rich get richer and poor get poorer.
Are we in good hands? Who is responsible for changing our fortune? By right, it would be ourself. Anyhow, I can’t help but blame most part of it on the Government.
Ok, some disclaimers. I am for the Government. I am very partisan. I am in the system. I am not complaining. I am just critising the Government so that they can rectify the problem and hopefully find the appropriate solution that would make everyone happy.
My observations. Which warrant to be taken with a pinch of salt. Not truly reliable. Anyway, I think we are at flaw and at fault with regards to well being of our countries economy. Well, for one, the economy of the country is no more no less like the financial aspect of a company. With that, CEO of the country and Chief Financial Officer of the country should be in charge with the financial outcome of this country. How, where, who and when to generate the much needed boost in this dire times.
Again, from my observation, the economy of the country, Malaysia especially, requires political decision and one of the officer of this country who is in charge of this country’s economy cannot and will not make political decision because the person is non-political. On the other hand, the person who is responsible to advise the country on what to do with its economical activities, is probably the most indecisive person you can find. It’s almost like typical lawyer giving advise on matters, that would outline the best scenario and the worst scenario and let the client choose which side they want to go themselves. It’s like if you do this, you will lose X and get Y, and if you do that, you will lose A and get B. I mean, what gives?
To make things worst, the CEO is depending on them to help him to figure what and how to do or get out of this mess. It doesn’t help either, when the CEO is hardly around in the country to take care the matters at hand.
So… my suggestions? Well,Mr Advisor, sir, please advise Mr CEO and Mr CFO what to do, have some political will and be very decisive. Mr CFO, sir, please make the political decision Mr CEO, sir, please manage the country.
Huh. Just my rant.
We are suppose to support and be loyal to our leader. And I think, we are suppose to help our leader to make the right decision when they are making the wrong ones, as well.
Duh…
Tapi tak tahannya bila dah comment, semua melenting. Cuba la ambik teguran sebagai kritikan membina, sekali sekala..
